1.8TSI APR stage 1

Took my car for its first MOT and third year service last week and the warranty expiry is imminent. So I took advantage of APRs Halloween sale and went up to Awesome GTi for a stage 1 remap!

With Shell V-Power in the tank this is the graph:

Stock reading was 190bhp / 199ft-lb

Remap took it to 252bhp / 285ft-lb

Good gains but can now hear a boost leak so need to locate that next!

Seems like you are missing little grunt or the dyno does give low numbers.
Mine stage 2 gave 266bhp / 428nm so it would be 315,6ft-lb on a dyno that is known to not give high numbers.

Considering something like this myself when the warranty runs out so interested in the outcome. Did you get to the bottom of the leak and it's cause? Was it related to the remap or just a coincidence?

Not got round to getting it pressure tested yet so still unresolved. It will be due to the increased boost pressure from the remap no doubt as it did not do it before. Screams like a banshee, kind of like it but know it's bad loving the extra power still though....

Hope it turns out to be a simple (and cheap!) fix.

Do you have a manual or dsg and hows the clutch holding?
