Sory for my language. Im new guy in leon world.
I buy mk1 leon top sport.
Saw yellow leon when i hawe only 9 years and always want this car. Now i get when i hawe 29
Work is lot but i try build Nice leon. Start body repair, then engine rebuild, then missing extra install but that i start october or november when latvia start winter

Change 1 abs sensor
Change oil and filters
Change front door locks

To do:
Weld rear wheel arches
Repaint all car

Rebuild engine

Install 4x electric windows
Install cruise control
Install cupra interior

And lot things

Sounds like you’re going to be busy.
Shame yellow ones suffer so much from faded paint. Love onvi yellow.
Sure it will look great once you’ve finished it.

there will be a lot of work on the car, but it's worth it

as far as I can tell, the car originally came from Spain, so the color has faded and it is also a little rusty due to the salt that rubs on the roads in winter.

parts are harder to find, so when here they are not so much.
but thanks for the well wishes. the car will be revived

Everyone knows that I was driving home from work a few days ago and suddenly the power went out. Well, in reality, the sdi remained my seat. The turbine was also not even audible.
Well, I didn't leave home, I can only blame it on the computer and the p1556 error. I say to look for info, I go through all the vacuum tubes. But all healthy.
Then I changed this transducer, I don't know what it is called correctly

The problem was solved, but conditionally. Up to 2k revolutions, so there is a mega turbo pit. But when it reaches 2k, then it goes as it should go. In principle, where to look for fault so that there is not such a turbo hole?

It was that turbo pipe in the picture that fell off my Altea immediately after the dealer delivered the car back from service. Think the rascals had blown it off during the government smoke test, said nothing. Glued it back on and it fell off again when I started the car up. That's the clip that had broken which they had none in stock and would I accept the fix ie. glue (that which they had done before). The clips corrode. It's incredibly dangerous if the turbo pipe comes off since the engine goes in to limp mode. You wouldn't want that suddenly happening on a motorway.

Down memory lane seeing that turbo pipe clip 🤔. Reminds me of rubbish dealership I use to use. Their London radio slogan "nice people to do business with". No.

Will pass on your turbo issue to experts on turbos.

when starting a cold car, there is increased smoke from the exhaust with white smoke. when it warms up, the smell disappears. I suspect it's a nozzle, but I don't know if that's the fault, I haven't had time to check it. maybe there are some options where to look for the fault?

The turbo can put you in limp home mode if it goes wrong like the pipe dropping off which is what happened to mine on the Altea, but turbos do have other issues. Have a read thru here and see whether any sound familiar


Touch wood I've been fine driving turbo diesels since circa 1994.

the glow plug wire was replaced, which is not so easy to get for ARL engine. Need send wire from Germany

aftermake radio installed

that is also the night to the conclusion when the turbine will be replaced or restored.
maybe someone has a suggestion, if it is changed, then when should I put it?

good evening
the principle is that when I drive to work one morning, the rain is sprinkling, or a bit foggy. and a heavy blow to the bottom of the car. the oil lamp lights up and it is clear when the oil pan has burst. someone was hauling bricks overnight and fell out of the trailer. so the car stood for 3 weeks until I got the part and fixed it.

I put on winter tires today and tomorrow I'm going to the welder to start making the body.

Greetings
Little Update. Today i go watch what done eith my leon.
Brake discs and pads changed
Velded 90% but welder says rust wery little, but car was crashed in left rear arch and fix are poor before i buy
Need look where loss antifreeze
And bad News turbo are 90% dead because oil in exhaust pipe.
Better i need change turbocharger Core myself or give turbo to restauration?

who would have thought that when the gt1749vb turbo will be so hard to find a good used one in Latvia.
there were 3 offers and only one was on the car and could be tested.
so now it will be so new and leon will come back to life.
the court painting was missed this winter because of everything, when a lot of things dragged on. therefore, flowering will be postponed until next winter.

since it is impossible to get new door rubbers, I found good rubbers from seat toledo. 5 euros for all 4 door rubbers. hopefully this will solve the wet carpet problem.

mine is between 8 and 10 bar

the problem with the wet carpet is solved, silicone is compressed along the window mechanism, and there is no more moisture in the cabin

I did maintenance on the nozzle. it's a bit scary that there is a groove in the head right where the nipples are on one side.

good afternoon.
small update
I bought valve rubbers to replace. when starting to work, then i see, broken shafts of the camshaft. now at least the problem with the engine smoking is solved. I also changed the tandem skirt once, now it jumps perfectly when it's cold.

good afternoon. quite a big update from me.
the problem with cold starting and loss of power between 1k and 2k revs is gone.
however, the camshaft turned out to be at fault. I replaced it with a new completely koblesmitch camshaft and now the 1.9 turns as it should.
