1.9TDi Engine Vibration

My girlfriends dad has a 1.9TDi which is vibrating much more than normal. The cars been back to the dealership a number of times, and each time it comes back exactly the same!

Its so bad that you can't use the rear view mirror as the vibration blurs the reflection!

Any idea?

Common causes on a 1.9TDi?

PS. I've VAGCOM'd it and didn't see any fault codes.

sounds like the dogbone bush. it may be worn and because it connects the rear of the engine/box to the chassis id say it'd be a good place to check first, jack her up and have a look under the engine towards the back, its shaped like a dog bone funnily enough, run the engine while shes secured with axle stands and watch for it happening there.

Could also be 1 or more injectors on there way out..Or not 100% correct injection timing if the timing belts was changed recently.

i think so too.. dual mass flywheel.

I'd say injection.
Not an uinjector on it's way out but wrong setting or maybe even bad injector since out of factory. My friend mechanic told me many 130 and 100 PD he's seen do suffered from this problem.

don't think it'd be an injector because they usuallly throw up fault codes.

I've also got the 19TDI Seat Alhambra, similar sort of problem all the possiilities discussed above have been proposed by a number of Garages I've taken the car too. Any luck with you origially posted problem
