When the car is run (doesnt matter if its hot or cold) and you remove the oil cap there is a slight smoke coming out of it, it doesnt smell nor does it seem to have any colour, there is no loss in power AT all, the car isnt burning oil, nor losing water, oil light has never come on, no smoke out the exhaust, no lag, nothing, the car runs perfect in every gear and every selection of revs, however the little bit of smoke out of the oil cap/dipstick worries me a little.

Is this normal for a 80k+ mile car ? Is there something i should look at ?

However, ive just done it and filmed a video, there was slight smoke from the dipstick, which has now gone, the smoke from the oil cap is still there, i will attach a video.

It says its normal ? (i know its a vw forum)

Thanks in advance.

its just oil vapour which is normally recirculated into the air intake (which is the most common reason for oil in the turbo pipes) and is nothing to worry about.

The reason it comes out of the oil cap is because of the pressure change but once the cap is back on then its back under pressure and directed back into the intake system.
