Graham - Thansk for the reply - Can you recomend a good remap for the 140 dsg? Who are you guys using and who has ther best reputation etc?

Cheers

there is absolutely loads of places out there to remap your car. Depends how much you wanna spend etc they all report similar figures. Some have handsets so dont, so some you can take off and some you have to pay extra for that function.

Bluefin by superchips was my first map on my old PD, cant complain about it, bit expensive and a tad down on power compared to some so im told, but came with a handset so i could take it off if necessary.

Revo are one of the more renowned and well used one on here, but some ppl say there maps are generic and your better off getting a custom map, not that ive ever heard a revo user complain. Revo are also a bit expensive.

I use S|hark performance, (you cant write the first word properly on here btw), absolutely no faults to be found and you buy straight from the tuner who works on your car, not from some dealer who just loads it up.

Some people have good things to say about celtic tuning and i think they dont cost as much as the others.

You might even want to buy a tuning box off DTUK and get it posted to your door, some say that a box isnt as good as a remap, but at least you can rip it off for warranty work pretty easily :)

The list goes on mate, do some searches on here and there are loads of different companies being used by different ppl, there's also P-Torque as well as loads others.

Graham - Your a gent, thanks a lot for that. TBH Im not really that concerned about squeezing as much power out of the engine as poss, it would just be nice to have a bit more bhp and torque and perhaps some increased mpg to go with it, without compromising on reliability of longetivity of engine life.

My car is now out of manufacturers warranty so this isnt an issue either

I'll do some more searches on here and see what else i can find - In the meantime if anyone else has any first hand possitive experience form any of the maps mentioned above, or any others please feel free to jump in.

Cheers :)
