16500 Enigne coolant temp. sensor (G62): Implausable signal
P0116- 35-10 - - - Intermittent

is this serious?

I am guessing not cause if i didnt have vagcom then i wouldnt have know about it ie the car is running sweet at the moment

Bad info from the coolant temperature sensor can throw your mixture off.

Check the value from the ECT, both with the engine hot, and after it's been sitting overnight. Hot it should read 90-110C. After sitting overnight, it should be within a few degrees of ambient. Meas. Blocks, Group 001, Field 2.

Since the code is "Implausible signal, intermittent", I'd have a look at the wiring and connectors. But VW has installed a huge batch of crappy sensors some years ago and updated replacments are pretty cheap.

If its the one I am thinking of they are about £20ish. 2 minutes to fit. COOLANT COLD.
