i have been offered a set of bbs LM 18's will it make a massive difference to the performance/comfort by going up a inch?

I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this too, I'm tempted to get the current Leon Cupra 18" black alloys on my Boc

Shouldn't make too much difference as I believe they allow 2 inch max before such factors are influenced. MK2 leon wheels wont fit either as they are 112 PCD and ours are 100 PCD

That's unfortunate, they'd have looked really good on the Boc :(

@Char_baby ...I know but I don't think people would notice 'Bobanegra' on the back of the red one as much :)

They are harsher with 35 profile rubber but I was happy with mine.

they turned up today, haven't had it out yet too see what its like. there are rubbish budget tyres on them atm, will be ordering some paradas for it tomorrow . is it not really uncomfortable with 35's on? not that it really matters because i lost the comfort with the coilovers

now need to sort some tyres out for them...... got parada's on my car atm with the standard boc wheels i like them but am open to suggestions :)

the paradas turned up today apparently, ive been on the new snetterton 300 track allday testing (not in the boc but definatly worth a trip) tyres will go on on monday. as im a 'newbie' not sure i can post pictures but will try!

there is possibly a inch wheel to arch gap atm so its gonna be interesting if they fit otherwise the coilies will have to be adjusted

iirc you are allowed a 2.5" difference in the rolling radius of the tyre, so if you increase the diameter of the rim you will then have to go for lower profile tyres to cancel out the size difference.

Plenty of online sites to calculate that for you. http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp

Tyre code Diameter Circumference Difference
---------- -------- ------------- ----------
215/30 R18 586 mm 1841 mm -1.61 %
225/30 R18 592 mm 1860 mm -0.6 %
235/30 R18 598 mm 1879 mm 0.4 %
205/35 R18 601 mm 1888 mm 0.82 %
215/35 R18 608 mm 1910 mm 2 %
205/30 R19 606 mm 1904 mm 1.64 %

Nice! I will have to calculate it. I really want 18" wheels on. What are the current sizes on the 17" wheels?
