Hi this is my first thread so if i have done something wrong take it easy on me.

My question is will 19" wheels and eibach sportlines springs cause the tyres to rub on the arch etc? My last leon, had coilovers in and 19" wheels but i had to put stretched front tyres on, i dont want to have stretched tyres again!

Thanks

Depends what offset wheel you run as Cupra r run 19s and lowered have absolutely no clearance problems at all. Tyre size is 235/35/19 but I think they are ET51

Just bought some 19in wheels and got to wait 3 weeks for delivery, car sat on sportlines aswell. wheels are going to be 8.5j with 235/35/19. I do hope there not to much rubbing, dont know the offset.. If your car is lowered does that affect the offset

The offset is how far the wheel sits in or out so nothing to do with the car just wheel specification.
If they are aftermarket wheels the most popular ones seem to be ET48 for which I don't know if they will rub.
If they do it shouldn't be much. This question was asked on here very recently and I don't think there was a definite answer.

8.5j with 235/35/19.

Depends on which version Leon you own. All Leons are the same in the rear but cupra front arch is wider. Anyway any et under 50 with the above mentioned dimensions will rub (from slightly to undriveable without serious without serious work done on the arches)

My car is a 2006 model, so not a cupra. Never new the cupra had bigger wheel archs on the front. Are 225 35 19 on the front going to be to stretched. I need to order tyres soon

Wheelarches are the same, so Fr has a bit more clearance in front (max. 5 mm per corner).

225 35 19 on 8.5" rims aren't really stretched but I wouldn't order anything before you know what the ET value of your rims is (I know sportec does a 8.5" / 19" rims with et42 and they advise 225 tyres but arches will have to be pulled a bit when lowered.

Thanks for information, i have 235/35/19 but i tried them on a friends leon that is lowered on sportlines, we took his car for run and looked for all the potholes and bumps we could find, they only rubbed the arch once.
