Hi guys,
1st (inspection) service due in just over 2 months' time, with 2 years service plan purchased already.
Is it recommended to have it done at where I bought the car (JCB Crawley, well over 1.5hr drive away on motorways)? Or a dealer-workshop a bit closer to home (Citygate West London Brentford/Collindale, with Underground and Overground stations nearby)?
I somehow need to persuade them to do the infotainment software upgrade to 2768 for various minor issues, there will be a good chance the car won't be ready on the same day, thus choosing the latter would be much more convenient for me.
Or should I go back to Sussex for the service, with AI telling me they have better customer service overall with many good comments from users, but travelling would be troublesome if I need to leave the car at the workshop overnight for the update? (Not really interested in using a courtesy car just for the long drive back home + long drive back to dealer the next morning; nor staying overnight at a cheap hotel at the nearby Gatwick airport).
Also do you guys do the service booking via phonecall or online? If online where I can tell them the need of the software update?
Thanks in advance
