Hi all finaly got round 2 clayin yesterday as i new i'd need most of the day.i used bilt hamber origional well impressed!!!thought it was clean b4 but WOW.only downside i'm totalyf£$*'d2day but result'''''''''''''''''s well worth it(need shades on 2 looknow):D

I don't mind claying, it's realising you then have hours of work ahead coz all you've done is created a decent base to work on lol.

No you clay immediately after washing, on a wet car with the Bilt Hamber stuff which is the best clay I've used.

Then you wax it. I did our focus a few weeks ago with my brother, took about 5 hours, did the entire car, cleaned inside, sealed wheels, clay, polish and wax and it looks better than the day it came out the showroom 5 years ago!

Thanks for that Wellsy,nice..be good to see some pics if you have any links. I'm only just getting mmore into detailing. Will have to get myself registered on detailing world and do my "Home Work"

OK next time I'm back from Uni I'll try and get some when it's clean.

It becomes a bit of a drug when you see just how well presented your car can be with just a little effort!

I need to clay mine, never done it. Is this after waxing it/?

You'd pre-wash (snow foam etc), rinse, wash using the 2 bucket method, rinse again ...then clay - leave the car wet to clay, I also use Bilt Hamber. Then wash again, rinse, dry and use your products. I'd polish, seal and wax (2 coats of wax) to get a good protection on the paintwork. I clay twice a year, 1st about spring time to get rid of all the crap picked up over the winter, then again in October to get the car ready for the winter months.

Yeah I'd vouch for the Bilt Hamber stuff. Called auto-clay isn't it?
This is how mine came out the first time I clayed using bilt-hamber

Think the reflection speaks for itself

Did my first clay of the year yesterday. Snow foamed, washed, clayed, washed, polished and 1 coat of wax left overnight. Second coat goes on tonight after I've shampooed the interior.

My arms are killing but it's well worth it. And after 4hrs I'm only halfway through cleaning the whole car :(
