apologise if this has been asked before ... im looking to get a 2.0tdi but after reading honest john ..... "big mistake" ... he has mentioned major issues with engine oil .. quote problem of 2.0TDI PD 140s is failure of the oil pump .. i have spoken to a couple of dealers and they have said they havent heard of any issues ... am i better looking off for a older 1.9D 130/150 or are the 2.0tdi's ok
regards

I have never, ever seen or heard of a fault on the oil pumps on BKD engines or any pd for that matter.

Turbos are a bit ****, sometimes injectors get a bit dickie, the asv fails, the glow plugs need changing every now and again, the egr clogs up or on very early models (2003/4 the heads crack) but never an oil pump.

I've done a handful on the cr engines if that's what it's referring to?
