Okay wel I'd like about 200bhp for the cupra, I'd consider things like re-enforced crank forged pistons etc maybe next year or something that stuff is pricey lol, but if I can run about 200 safely on the stock engine that would be cool

yeah you will run 200 bhp fine on the stock internals up to 270ish when its advised to get some forged rods though some run theres with no issues an that kinda power. you may want to keep in mind that 200+ will eat your dual mass clutch/flywheel as mine did on just a stage 1 revo

i went for the golf vr6 clutch/golf g60 flywheel single mass set up. also had the flywheel lightened before fitting which made a nice improvement going through the gear changes

Hi Gaz, you've had this setup all fitted now? What are your thoughts on it since going from the dual mass set up? Was your old clutch ok or knackered? Has the lightened flywheel made any noticeable improvement?
I'm considering this but not 100% sure yet.

Yes mate about a month now. well my d/m set up started slipping after about 6 months of having only a stage 1 revo which was a bit unexpected but it was something i knew i was gonna have to get done if wanting more power. i dont think its something worth doing untill your d/m has had it then defo upgrade time. lightening the flywheel is worth donig imo and has made a difference, though hard to explain, but you get through the gears quicker coz the revs drop sharper if that makes sense? and its 2.9 kg lighter which can be a bad thing. some notice engine vibrations after lightening though i cant notice any.
