It seems like REVO does map this engine but they require a special device called SPX which not all dealers have...

They offer a promising gain of 15-18 hp, not much more than APR.

well had a very disappointing day yesterday managed to get a whopping 7.4bhp and 33.7 lbft and after a further 2 hrs they said they couldn't get any more out of it and they said it's got a new type of ecu software for this engine that they've not seen before and they suspect that it's holding it back as they've not had problems before on golf's ect but there looking over the map and letting me know if they can make it better.

and what it should look like

any ideas why i don't have a nice torque peak low down?

Looks like it kicks in very quickly but fades off just as fast, i know what you mean youd want your torque curve much longer like the oem, but strong, your missing 20 torques and missing no bhp

Refund??

Well, if it's just the air filter what is different from your engine's stock setup, then I'd say it's a bad remap. They didn't achieve what they promised, I'd ask for my money back if I were you.

Well i was out driving today and between 2 and 3000 rpm if you put your foot down it was if the dv was lifting slightly as it felt like it was miss firing and you could hear a distinctive woosh so ive swapped back to stock filter and it drives smooth now so ill get it back on the dyno and see?

Currently sat in garage whilst they write a new map but they said there not much they can do for power output due to stupidly undersized intercooler which is true but there having a play to try and sort the torque curve out. Which is why i prefer doing it this way aposed to a plug in the obd map that revo do.

this is the new result

so they've managed to get 151.5 bhp and 210.2 lbft all that with stock filter so i think i may get rid of K&N even though stock filter is running 5 degrees C more

OK I take my words back, they managed to fix it well. :) However, that torque peak still remains quite short. Will they continue to work on that or is this ok with you?

there struggling to do any thing else due to temps and there machine cant get the same air flow rates as on the road so intake temps where up around 41-42 degrees and on the road it's around 32 so figures would be different.

I think that might be a pita to install on these engines plus im still in warranty so they would spot that quite quickly and void it

Honestly if i was going to get mine mapped, i wont be wasting my money getting an off the shelf map, id go custom but with a custom intercooler as temperature seems to be a problem with the tsi, at least i could get the most (safest) output for the same price plus the cost of a FMIC. It would open up the way for other hardware mods aswell well after the warrantys gone anyway.
