2013 Alhambra - New Key, how do I sync?

Hi all, first post here.

I recently got a previously used (by Seat UK) Alhambra SE Lux, love the car, got it for a great price, but - the original service log, radio manual and one of the keys never made it to the dealership.

They've supplied me with a new key which they've paired up with the immobiliser, but after several hours trying today they were unsuccessful in resyncing the remote fob with the car.

I've tried a few suggestions after a google, but none seem to work. The manual has a section on how to do it, but it's not very clear.

So, I have one key that works, and one that doesn't. Anyone know how to do this?

The key is probably from VW China & appears to be correct in every way but I've never got one to work my local dealer says they don't work.

Hi, Just to be clear this key was supplied by the dealer and is (probably) not from VW China.

I just don't know what the correct method of pairing the car to the key fob is for a 2013 Seat.
