Hi everybody and happy new year!

I talked with a tyre guy this morning about some rs4 new 8x18 et38 on my LCR

It is not lowered, but he says it might be a problem in the front with speedbump. Have any of you tried using this size?

/Best regards, Thomas, Denmark

I had 8x18 RS6's on a lowered LCR and it was fine, you will need to check and see if you need spacers for the front wheels to clear the brake calipers. I had to fit 10mm spacers all round.

Obviously check the PCD is 4x100 as original Audi wheels will not fit (different PCD)

That said the Bilstein suspension I fitted was probably stiffer that standard which would help to reduce scraping but I can;t see any issues

8x18 wheels are ok, however those on here with 8x18 have had 225/40/18 tyres, not 245/35/18 as Gubien is querying...
however many have used spacers as well which would indicate that they should be ok on the outside edge at least, so would most likely be ok...

anyone know of anyone using this tyres size?

Maybe a bbs lm copy, i just hate copy's, but 660 euro for original 18" is so sick.

Everything just seems so small when it's not lowered...

I would not recomend it.

I am running 8 x 18 and ET40 with spacers to help and already get loads of rubbing.

It stick to 225 ;)

MDS, what size are you on??

8.5 X 18 (ET40)

5mm Spacer

225/40/18 Rubber

Rubs on inside arches of front wheeels.

Maybe its because the car is lowered 5-6cm.

Without the Lowering you may just clear the arches with that width.

I dunno, I just thaught i´d warn you before you go into heavy expenses and regret it later...

It okay MDS ) I played a bit with photoshop and did some math on how 18" would look on my car...

I think I stick to the rs4 resprayed in a darker color like on the pictures.

I dont know if it makes any difference if I only use 8x18. If I put the same tyre on a 8 instead of 8,5 it must be more narrow?
