3333 - the number of the SEAT beast?

Washed my Candy White FR for the first time yesterday. When I was cleaning the bonnet, I noticed a mark on the paintwork that wouldn't wash off. It looked like a number 3. I then carried on and did the rest of the bonnet and found the same mark in all 4 corners of the bonnet!
The marks are really wierd - they appear to be within the paint.
Needless to say, it will be going to the dealer for an explanation.
May be worth having a close look at yours.

What was the outcome? I haven't used anything on it at this stage.

well i first spotted it when it landed at the garage and i went to give it the once over, saw the '3' in the off side front corner by the headlight. gave it a light rub with my finger nail and it came off so i wasnt too bothered. rest came off with the MF towel after i washed it.

can only assume its a gauging mark where they've measure the panel gaps at the factory...

I have also noticed a mark in the paint work on my bonnet, front drivers side above the headlight, I have only had the car a week and went over it with a fine tooth comb yesterday while waxing, I was disappointed to find a blemish, I wonder if it’s a factory problem?

Also found some stone chips already, not happy.

I had different problem, we found out that in seat factory they did paint on my cupra twice :-( and still is not very good job.
