Alot of people in Sweden have their Cupras, Golf R etc with +450hp. Not much turbo lag as the turbo is the same size more or less as the stock one :)

Had a look at this thread earlier, the Germans do what they do best at getting something special out of these motors.I own a St300 with revo stage1 and a few other mods which is way quicker enough for me. I’m a bit gutted as the back end of the car looks very very similar to mine with what looks like the Rieger rear diffuser and the Audi rs4/rs6 exhaust.

UK has a lot of stage 2 and 3 cars that will give you this sort of power. You can use stock body with upgraded internals or different turbos. couple threads on here about the turbo options.

You should also have a dsg map.

Extracting over 500bhp from a four-pot engine is an impressive achievement. To get there, Siemoneit has fitted the Cupra with bigger turbos, a high-flow air intake and new intercoolers among plenty of other engine upgrades.

Anybody?

I know of a few people running Golf Rs at nigh on 560 BHP. It’s one of the easiest engines to tune. A stage one from MRC will put you within touching distance of 400 BHP.

My friend having 280 with LM500 turbo and supporting mods (500+hp), its crazy fast even in FWD and no turbo lag issues at all.

And you can still get good mpg if you drive it as normal but she will need to have oil changes more often if you want her to last
