Hi,
Still getting used to the Leon and the kit/options it has. One that's got me stumped though after searching the met with no luck is..... When the car is initially started it chimes 6 times every time with no error lights etc showing. Does anyone know what these chimes mean? Any help appreciated!
It's a 65 plate FR184

the chimes are usually related to lights on, doors open, seatbelt warning, etc.
anything flagged in the CAR menu ?
Thank you. I feel like such an idiot...... It appears to be seatbelt warning! All my previous cars haven't warned me unless I was actually driving without my seatbelt on!

My Leon doesn't chime if I take the belt off with the engine running as long as I'm not moving ..... (17plate)

Here I am in 2025…
How did you resolve? I have the same problem, 6 chimes on startup. If I start the engine with seatbelt on, it doesn’t sound…

Thanx

The answer is above but I think you already have it. It's a seatbelt warning light. As you and I have mentioned, if you start the car with the seatbelt on, the 6 chimes don't sound. Problem solved 🙂

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

FYI
I've found the "problem": reading the units with an OBD11, I've found the Seatbelt Warning Alarm was set on "USA" instead of "EU" (I don't know how it could have changed on his own  ).

Anyway, in "USA" mode, six warning beeps are heard when the engine is started.
Obviously, this does not happen with the seatbelt fastened.
Reset to "EU", and the sounds disappeared.

NOW :ROFLMAO: the problem is solved @cod_ed :rocker:

Cheers
