I am picking up a Seat Leon TDI 150 FR this week. Its 5000 miles away from its 60000 mile service, which I have just been quoted £760 for by my local seat dealer.

Has anyone else had a 60000 mile service that was substantially cheaper?

I have a separate 3 year warranty that means it has to be serviced by a VAT reged dealer.

I'm willing to travel if antone can suggest a good dealer that is cheaper.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

I am based in essex where everything is expensive (Why I had to go to yorkshire to get the car at a sensible price)

I would prefer to get the service done by a seat dealer and after reading the thread that Craig-pd130 linked, it would be happy driving to a dealer virtually anywhere in the country to save over £350 on the service.

If anyone can recommend a seat dealer or a specialist I would be grateful

Allards effectively did my 60,000 service for me. They had the engine apart to change the camshaft anyway, so I just gave them the £120 odd worth of full cambelt kit, 5 litres oil, filters etc, and they did it for me whilst there. :) Bargain! And I need not worry about the belt again for another 60k or 4 years odd.

Helix garage in Chelmsford is a Seat Specialist (Used to be a Seat garage but now a Citreon but they kept the Seat Techs). I think your better off at a specialist or indy as generally a good specialist know much more than the Seat spanner monkies.

Big Boys Toys are in Essex and have a great reputation.
