8j tyre stretch

anyone have any pics of their leon with some stretch? preferably 8j wheels and what tyre width you used. Soon be changing mine and i wanna go for a good stretch.

As a guide, an 8inch wide wheel is roughly 200mm wide so depending on how much stretch you want you can roughly work out how much you'll get from tyre sizes, for example a 185 tyre will give an overall stretch of 15mm a 175 tyre 25mm of stretch etc. also take into consideration the profile of tyre you use. The profile is a percentage of the width so a 205 40 tyre has a profile of about 80mm if my maths are right.

i had 205 40 17 on a 8j rim and its was a little stretched.

thats a decent stretch i think i'd be after a little bit more though maybe a 195/190
