99MK2 not starting

Hope someone can help with this. I have a Seat Ibiza that sits up for a long time between uses. But never fails to start. A couple of weeks ago I drove the car to work after 2 months of sitting up (I drive a bike normally) Anyway. All good and no issues. However the next day a new windscreen was being installed. I wasn't around and thought it be grand. However now the car will not start. The starter motor turns ok. But there seems to be no ignition.

I've checked all the connections and HT leads. All seems ok. I doused in WD40 just incase. I was wondering if the battery had been disconnected could the ECU have reset? If it did, would I then need to enter a radio code? As I no longer have the original radio. Lost in a move a year ago... Is there a way to enter the radio code directly into the ECU by a OBD-2 cable? Dont have one at the moment and never used one. So just wondering.

Also tried jumping the car from an other. But no go. Same issue. So left it on for a while to charge the battery anyway.

Anyone else any other thoughts as to what it could be?

i had immobiliser problems due to a bad earthing (which uncoded the key or something the garage said) it was a pain in the arse!
as they couldn't get the code from the immobiliser

i would check the fuel pump (when turning over, can you hear the pump working from underneath the back seats, have a look)
also would get a multimeter to check there is electricity going the pump!

then check fuses!

Well just to clear it up, I checked all connections for dirt/moisture/corrosion/Electrical fault. So I also cleaned them all out with WD40. I then checked the distributor cap for any corrosion and faults and it seemed ok, same with all the HT leads and ignition coil connecters. Sparkplugs are in a good condition too. I tried tuning over the engine with the number 1 sparkplug out and connected to the HT lead. But there is no spark.

Just wondering. If the ECU gets reset and you dont enter in the radio code. Will the car turn over? Thinking the guys doing the window might of reset it somehow. If its that, is it possible to enter the codes directly to the ECU from a laptop?

I also checked the fuelpump and it seemed to be working ok.

Has anyone got a list of the ECU error codes for the Seat MK2?

if there is no spark, sounds like its the coil pack! its a common thing to go wrong, my one went when i got my car (about a week later lol) i would say its that!
