A.B.S Sensor :(

i've read through many posts about the abs sensor faults mine will simply not go i get the code:-
00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Right (G45)

i have checked all fuses, fuse 18 and 8 (red one) both replaced so working, checked wiring from sensor to arch all the rubber casing is fine, have replace the sensor 3 times, twice with non standard sensors and this time with an official sensor same problem, its failed the mot just cos the abs and traction control lights so am in the **** now!!

tested the wires ? or just looked at em ?

i have no way of testing them, i dont think use a multi meter?

also how close to the ring does the sensor have to be?
