A new MAF a worth while expenditure?

Mine is working as far as I know, but is it worth changing to a new one? Its done as far as I know over 170k now!

Id say if its not broke don't fix it. maby just get some isopropyl alcohol and clean it out, mine was fine at 116k miles but i cleaned it anyway and seems smoother and more responsive since. cleaning maf is covered in this forum just do a search.

the only way to tell for sure is to get vag com on it and log requested vs actual. Otherwise if your happy with it then leave it be.

No reason why a new one would be any better it could even be worse has been known for a brand new one to be on the bad side of good...
