I've a quote for 2.0 TDI Reference Sport Leon:
£15194 with spare wheel, MP3/steering wheel controls and 6 CD autochanger, a metallic colour (blue methinks).
£6000 for my 04 Fabia vRS (43k miles)
Remaining £9194 at 11.5% APR for 24 months, 10.9% for 36 months.

Was I right to not feel happy and walk away? How's everyone else doing with deals? To me I think there is more movement on the Leon's price and upwards on my part exchange.

Also, Seat are miles away from Skoda on the 2005 JD Power survey. Local dealer is Frosts in Portslade, Brighton - are they any good for after sales/service?

Does everyone think the new Leon might fare better on quality than previous models?

Ta for any input! Might become a more frequent visitor to here instead of Briskoda yet... :)

I doubt they will move much more on the price of the Leon, they seem to be selling well enough on interest alone so there is not much need to drop the prices. Try specking out a similar VW Golf and you'll see why...

We bought a new Toledo Sport TDi DSG last year, delivered in December on 14 week lead time - even though the Toledo is not selling very well, it was a real battle to get a decent discount - ended up getting about £1400 off the list price and the car was a factory order.
It appears that Seat are being really tough on discounting in order to try and protect residual values.

Jury is out on this one for me - they put too much oil in my PD150, got the tire pressures totally wrong, and had the nerve to put a Frosts banner in the back windows - despite the whole car (plates etc. being dealer-marking free). It'd had also had a very 'hard' test run / joy ride judging by the fuel/trip computer (and the passenger seat settings being moved about 3 inches up and forward). On the bright side, they didn't scratch it or make a mess of the inside.

You might want to try the Haywards Heath Frosts branch, although my visit to sort out the brake light switch was a waste of time. Which I put down to lack of parts availability (it's only just started Seat servicing) rather than incompetence. They were generally enthusiastic and helpful in there.

Just my tuppence,
Rich
