Ok so question time i replaced my clutch 2 months or ao ago I'm wondering can I take my abf clutch to my 20v 1.8 or is it another part I'm going to need to sell :)

Muchos gracias el seat lovers :)

if using your 16v box, then use the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate off your 16v :)
My standard clutch from the 16v didnt slip once with 180bhp

excellent lol i priced up getting a custom braket for the 6 speed it was over 300 and would require me to removed part the subframe as longer :( lol so straigh up in the forsale section lol

and on ebay after collection

Once it's all off get your 16v flywheel lighten and balanced and use a VR6 clutch.... know some 20vT boys running 260-280bhp with no problems and I'm using the VR6, basically a cheap upgrade which is more than good enough!

so use the same box off the abf but uprate to a vr6 clutch ok seems easy enough

lighten the fly wheel how expensive is this normally sorry im basic on this side i mean building it up should be ok like a big set of lego ;)

69£ for lightened and balance is a good price and the size difference is amazing im not liking the stalling factor tho lol

looks very well did you have any problems or have to get used to it with it been lightened or not very noticeable just on rpm pick up

You need to rev a bit more when pulling off, very easy to stall and the car rev's more freely and the rev's fall much quicker!

Standard 9.5Kgs
Lighten 4.9Kgs

nice one chaps :) will get on that when i take the engine out in the next few days :D

i know this sounds silly if you get chance could you take a few pics of the removal :) just so i can see where pipes go etc lol :)

i shall try take a few for you... tho ive taken most of the pipes off already for it to come out soooon

ahh okies if not should be ok i asked the guy to leave the pipes on the engine but u never know if they listen these ebay sellers lol

just a quick question dave the fly wheel in you pic has a solid centre i belive mine had a hollow centre is there a difference with this or is it just different models etc etc

In that pic is the 16v/G60 flywheel for the 02A box.... I'm sure there's only two versions of that dome shape flywheel the 16v/G60 & a VR6 but the VR6 flywheel as an extra hole. Tell Martin (HotGolf) what box you got (02A) and he will sort you out with the right one OR you can send yours to him and he will just lighten & balance the one that comes off your car!
