I had this problem last week. Took it to SEAT stealer. First they said it was front n/s bearing and abs sensor. Replaced at £290. 20 miles later same problem again. Took it back and was then told that master abs sensor needed replaced, this including labour cost £1000. Luckily warranty covered mine. Sorry if this is bad news for you.

Where are you based? Worth getting it scanned. I can't remember of SCN has a register of users with vcds
But I'm in Nottingham and Rotherham on weekends and can scan it.

All the dash lights come on if the battery has been disconnected but will go out after a short drive

Hi there. I have the same fault. I have previously changed one of my speed sensors (Altea XL Stylance TDI 170) and this fixed the problem. I live in Doncaster. Could anyone offer a scan...I'm planning to do the repair myself this time and not rely on a garage! Thanks in anticipation
