So to pass the mot, halfords replaced all pads and shoes. Within 100 miles the abs light comes beeps 3 times and stays on. Having trawled the net I have changed 40a fuse under battery and the F2 10a fuse inside car. I've checked brake fluid levels so now as I know nothing about mechanics I'm out of ideas. Halfords said they got a code 00301 and that they can't do the work as it needs a new abs pump. 2006 1.4 sport Ibiza. Seems to much of a coincidence that it's not halfrauds doing but I don't want them to make money from me. Help please. Bought an odb cable and remote on Amazon but it won't clear the abs light.

Got vcds lite and cable cleared code. As soon as I gob above 1st gear it came back. Should I change strip fuse F7 ? Changed the other abs one but is this worth a try?

What did the code say, you didn't just clear it and not note it down?

(can't hurt to change that F7 fuse)

ABS lights never usually go away on light reset, you will have to find the root of the issue change both fuses, probs not issue but a starting point, id follow the abs wires to make sure they haven't been heavy handed and dislodged one, did they change wheel cylinders too? Iv never seen ur but hav heard that blessing brakes if not done properly can damage the pump
