Ok, so I fixed the glovebox and boot mechanism thanks to advice on here :) Now there's just the ABS to sort out. I've measured the voltage across the plug to the front Nearside ABS sensor and there is voltage, it's around 3v iirc.

So what could this be? I tried another sensor in the plug and that didn't help.

I had this problem on my cupra, the wire was damaged and therefore the ABS/wheel speed sensor was only working intermittetly.
See if you can see any damage to the wire under the wheel arch

na, just cut out the damaged section (providing the wire left is long enough) and join it back up with some of the crimps that have rubber edges that you melt to seal the connection to protect from water ingress. [sorry cant remember their real name]

It could also be a problem with the sensor wheel for that particular wheel. I'm not sure if they are on the wheel bearing or what on these though so cant really help any further. Just take the sensor out and see if you can see the 'toothed' wheel rotate the wheel fully monitoring it for any damage or debris.

Just noticed your in shropshire, cool.

The abs ring is new, as I had the hub replaced and it's attached to that. So it must be a split in the wire :)

And yup I'm from the good old Shire lol, I'm sure you've heard of Telford then.

definitely get the wires checked then dude.

Yes I know Telford, its my usual shopping haunt. I live in Market Drayton but work in Shrewsbury

Well I checked the wiring and found a cut, four wires showing. Only one of them shows a voltage - is this normal? I connected them back up and the abs sensor plug is showing 2.5v. Again, is that normal? I'm not sure how to find out.

The ABS is still not working anyway, even though the sensor is getting 2.5v. I'm abit lost!

Any help appreciated
