I had a sensor replaced that showed a fault on VAG com, was fine but will grind and random occasions when braking at low speeds. It makes a horrible noise and often causes the light to remain lit until i turn the engine off and restart. Real PITA.

Will now be checking all connections and the valve as mention to see if this helps, probably worth two new sensors on the front aswell. Braking seems fine just the noise it makes and the occasional judder is a nightmare

tell them to.....you know what!
it probably just needs cleaning, or like flapper said wiring, if the wires bare, dirt/metal dust can cause havoc to the electrical current etc.

I have managed to clear mine (for now). Had all four wheels of and had a real good clean. Found that the N/S front caliper had a seized pin so had that all and made sure all were reseated and greased. Also checked the main connection in the engine bay which was completely tight with the plastic clamp clip. First time in months it has been clear for more than 100 miles
