Activate Auto Hold

I'm about to go and read the massive manual to try and work this out, but no matter what I do, the auto hold will not activate, I am probably using it wrong!!

Does anyone know how to activate it before I test myself with the manual?

Yup, sorry should have given more detail, when I press it, it doesn't activate at all, tried whilst stationary engine off, stationary engine on, whilst driving. But it simply will not illuminate.

No idea what I am doing wrong

Hahah, sorry. That sounds like it's broken. Mine just switches on and off stationary or moving

Have you put the handbrake on first?

if not,turn it on,then press the auto hold button and it should work automatically after that.

Seems that way, is yours a 71 plate? Only reason I ask if they changed anything from older ones (they probably didn't)
