Hi,

I did not choose the option to make my car ready for a towbar. Is it afterwards possible to have it fitted (factory one).

Sincerely

What did they told you from the dealer.
I have kl2 and they have installed factory towbar.
HArdware is not a problem. The issue was sfd2, that the security would not let them activate it yet.
They got it worling for me. But know more people that are actually waiting on this.

It was done at delivery, but I am 2nd driver of the car and 3rd owner of the car. 1st and 2nd are seat dealer itself, 2nd owner is that it was added to the inventory so they could sell it to me. Reason my car was owned by sells person as a demo car.
He got full option leon kl2 FR 1.5hybride. Only towbar was not installed from factory
Car was delivered 30march2025 and I got it 1600km later and picked it up half july2025.
Only If ST has different setup in the back I am not aware of that.

Unkown if this was for Ford focus or related to Seat leon. My feeling say it was related to the focus I had before this car.
But if you have rear view camera and rear park sensors, then you have the correct harness already.

Hmm interesting yo say that. I do have the rear view caemra and sensors. How do I check if the harness is ready?

To be honest unknown.
In the Netherlands it is normal that they sell the towbar at the dealer and not mark it on the factory build.
This has more reasons why, weight is linked to roadtax and that the dealer earns more money with the install of towbar.

All I can say drove with 600kg trailer last week and hybride made it too easy. Got the same milage on kwh/100km then normal.
The torque is doing everything.

Is the 2026 FR ST also hybride?
Because the only reason it could be different is that I have an hatchback and you a Stationwagon if I am correct
