right well yesterday i had a go at fitting the new cable and clips to my window regulator... took me about 2 n half hours lot of effing and geffing lol... but i did it
tried the window worked perfectly going down, tried it up and then hit a problem the new cable had slipped off the cog and tangled/chewed up with the cog in the motor so i was really annoyed :( i mustn't of got the cable tight enough for it not to slip off the cog so i was gutted all that effort without success lol

so i messaged the guy on ebay i got it from about how it arrived day after and that i was happy about it, but told him what had happened... got a message back saying they would send out another repair kit for free which i was very happy about and didn't expect :D would recommend any of you to buy from him. so it'll be take 2 when it arrives :)

also sorted out the sub relocation, got some MDF the other day and put it under the boot carpet with the sub sat in the hole i made for it, looks and sounds so much better :) will get some pictures up tomorrow :)

Hmm, it's about an hour and a bit mate, along the A55 :). Passed a fair amount of times along to Chester / Liverpool etc.

As with the cutting out, once in a blue moon, mine does it too. I've been told it might be the fuel / vaccum lines that enter the throttle body, but the cure is always down to resetting my immobilser, and it'll work then! Do you have one? An aftermarket alarm / immob?

Ah nice one... You're lucky lol! That's the only thing I hate on it, is the DOUBLE alarm etc. A little pain at times!

Nah they perish I think, leaks on the vacuum pipes? I'm not entirely sure. Search on this might reveal a few secrets? :)

finally got the car back today thankfully now the issue has been sorted :D... it wasn't the distributor it was the crank shaft sensor :/ just completely split and all the wiring shorting eachother out which was causing the car to behave how it was lol... also had new tyre fitted as other one was knackered

just need to sort out my window regulator out (before winter hits!) and finally get my hids and im sorted :D

been a while since i updated so think i should give a small update :)

from 24th september car was off road for over 2 month due to the injectors and fuel issue but had car back now for a few weeks... been running fine only problem is it wont rev past 5k due to the timing and rotor arm slightly needing adjusting, not bothering me just yet just glad its running again :)

at the moment the cars going to be off road until January due to insurance problems :/ but in the mean time im going to spend abit of money and give it abit of TLC :)

get paid 16Th December so going to buy a set of COILOVERS, OMP front strut brace, TRS toe strap & New brakes an pads :)

then after January has been and gone i shall be getting the engine rebuilt so its running as smooth as its ever ran lol!

well this is how the cars looking at the minute :) give your views on my plans and the car now :) much appreciated.

cheers,

Right i think its time i update this as its been more than 3 month :( few things have happened since December, 1st update being my exhaust having its silencer removed and resealed as it was blowing, it sounds so much raspier and louder now when you boot it :D when just cruising along its quiet which is good so im happy with that :) few pics:

was dark when i took them so couldn't see under the car properly lol

also it looks like my exhaust isn't sticking out as much as the back when the silencer was removed?

2nd update is the distributor not revving past 5k :( been like this since about October but yesterday it went to AwesomeGTI to be sorted, got there stuck it in workshop & hit a problem straight away... the distributor that was onit (which was a brand new one) was in fact the wrong one!!!!! so luckily i took the old one with me so they tried that, but found out when that one was removed for the new one to be put in had been bent and damaged  so i was in abit of a pickle :/ but i was lucky they had breakers cars in the back yard and one had the dizzy onit i needed :D so they stuck that in timed it up but still wouldnt fire? :S found out the problem was not only the distributor i had in was wrong... even the HT leads weren't in the RIGHT ORDER!!! :O but everything's bang on now :D :D 2nd hand dizzy timed up and leads in right firing order and car runs like a dream! so glad i took it to awesome aswel really do, do a good job, deffo recommend!

Heres few pics of it in workshop & the wrong dizzy!
