Aftermarket handbrake gaiter - how?

I've seen a few aftermkt handbrakes that I like in the momo range, but it'll need a leather gaiter tgo with it because the leon handbrake is a one-pice jobbie.

What I want to know is how could i secure the bottom of the gaiter to the centre console - i knew a few ppl have done this but i can't picture what they've done with the bottom of the gaiter. I think it will look tacky if its just left to dangle, if you know what i mean.

cheers. I use that site alkready but it doesn't address this one i'm afraid, only std seat handbrake handles are covered on that site.
