Probably a simple answer, and I think I may know myself, but it's something I've only noticed this year!

In "Show & Shine" event there are "Best of Show - Air-cooled" and "Best of Show - Water-cooled"

What exactly is the difference?

Surely its something like, say a old vw beetle and the old porche 911 (both air cooled), and then the more modern water cooled cars

as above and exactly as it sounds...

the air cooled category will include old skool bugs that rely soley on the oncoming air to cool the engine. Water cooled is everything else... lol

why would that matter regarding a "show and shine"?

Or is it assuming that air cooled cars are older, thus paintwork is older?
