Airbag/Seat Belt tension Light

I drove my leon fine this morning and when I went to take it to work, the light came up on the dash out of nowhere. Is there a way I can sort this out myself because I would not suspect any faults with the system itself due to it being fine without any problems. Or does this look like a trip to the dealer? Or is it something I should ignore which I doubt.

Its been giving me trouble recently and is beginning to annoy me now

Have you had it checked? I dont get why the ******* light came on when I drove it in the morning without no light. My mates dad drove it and thats when it came on :S

No not had it checked! Mine was the same though, fine one minuate then it just came on for no reason!!

Prob to do with the wiring to the seat. Did he adjust the seat? if so thats where to start.

I did adjust the passenger 1 quite a bit befor he got in coz i was cleaning it and atm dont know which side it would be. I most likely fink it could be with the wiring too but dont know if he adjusted the seat coz I just gave him the keys and he got in well before i did.

Could i solve this problem myself or could I just get a local gge to turn the warning light off using vagcom?

Mates at work also randomly caame on, seats hadnt been adjusted. Going to clear code on VCDs and see if it comes back

Let me know how it goes otherwise it would mean a dealer job wouldnt it? They airbags would not be disabled would they?
