Alexa : tips & hack

Bonjour,

Hello,

As already exchanged on other threads, the Alexa application cannot for the moment pass through the bluetooth / wifi flow of the Android wireless connection. However, in Amazon's Alexa SDK 3.0, it is quite possible. You have therefore noticed that Alexa asks you to connect to a "data" subscription even though your phone is well connected to Android auto and Google maps is working well. This is a bug that I think Cupra will correct. I have already raised the issue. I just hope they don't force them to take out their Telecom subscription.

To overcome this, a very simple solution connect your Cupra in wifi to your wifi hotspot (your phone). However, this technique is cumbersome because each time you get into your car you have to turn on your phone's hotspot manually.

Here is an Android application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.christian_heinisch.hotspot.enablehotspot

10 seconds to set and it works automatically. The goal is as soon as the application detects the bluetooth name of your car and if it is connected then, it turns on the wifi hotspot of your phone. If you leave your car, it turns off the hotspot. You can even turn off notifications in Android. Completely transparent and very appreciable.

I hope this will suit you.

Bonjour,

@devCupra : Can you look that please ?
