this leon is the biggest car i have had so far lol used to a suzuki swift but i have opted for the 18inch alloys and dont want to scuff them up so came across these while looking on halfords any one had any experience from using products like this or know any better brands

tempted to get the red ones to match the car but dont know if it would look tacky :\ but they do them in silver too

Funny I was looking up on these as well. The rim blades has had bad reviews, made of soft material and come off after a short time. Check out the Alloy Gators, I was reading a thread on them on a Tesla forum with lots of pics of them installed and how they stand up to kerbing.

Have you not looked into common sense range of products? ;-)

Including, but not limited too-

Not parking so close to the kerb
Avoid bashing the wheels in the first place
Taking more time and care when manoeuvring close to kerbs or objects likely to damage your rims

Works for me and many others

All joking aside, you will soon get use to the bigger car, just take your time especially when parking and you won't bash your rims

If you still need rim protection, change your tyres as some tyre makes have a more protruding sidewall designed to protect the rim, although probably not much help until your present tyres need replacing

Try reverse parallel parking rather than driving in forwards and smashing a front wheel up the kerb and dropping it back down again once you're straight. :D

I would like to second that Nath. Coming from a fiesta, any parking at the moment is done with a tilt of the mirrors and reverse :)

Agreed! If you set the mirror control switch to the left mirror when reversing it dips down so you can see the kerb. Then exercise care, no additional aids required.........SIMPLES

Not the later build cars.

Late build? Mines a 13 plate 3 month old and it does it on mine

yeh i believe they was having some problems with that feature about it not returning back to its original position some times so they removed it for a while of new cars but now they have sorted it out and they are putting it back on but it depends what build week your car is to weather you have got it or not

mine is due end of november so i am hoping they will put it on mine but dont know what build week mine is so i carnt work out if i will have it or not :(

If you put the switch in the neutral position the mirror comes back up, i figured this out couple days after as i was thinking was rather annoying
