Note that the tyres aren't looking very clean or black there. If you're going for a dark wheel colour you need to keep your tyres clean and use tyre shine/dressing on them regularly. If they fade and don't look nice and deep black then they look a bit naff on your wheels. That's why I didn't go for black wheels, that effect is much worse with black wheels.[/QUOTE]

You are spot on with that comment mate. Iv always said that about black wheels, especially in dusty areas where your tyres can look grey. Anthrecite all the way IMO ;)

Get them done and post pics as this has been on my to do list for a long time!!

I know I want anthracite (near enough gunmetal) but unsure if a Matt effect would outweight the gloss/metallic effect

I'm not sure you can do a matt finish on powdercoat, unless I'm wrong the only way to get a matt (or any non-glossy) finish is to get the rims painted instead of powdercoated. Powdercoating is better in terms of durability than paint.

Think ur right,i personally don't like matt finish

I was hoping for a sort of satin finish, somewhere between gloss and flat matt. The Audi black edition cars have titanium coloured alloys in a satin finish which looks really nice IMO, better than the gloss that I ended up with, but I still like mine.

Something like this but lighter maybe

Abit more lighter but more metallic?

Looks nice but i prefer a tad lighter with a gloss finish.

BTW good work on photoshop :)

It Is a good job of photoshop in it.... But not my doing lol! Couldn't take the praise for it.

A bit lighter yes but the Matt/satin look there looks mean for some reason?!?

It does look mean to be fair. I think also because the car is sitting nice, its giving the beef look!!

I just like how when the wheels are clean, they are sparkling!

Well I'm sure powdercoated wheels could be done in satin finish then basically to the get the sparkle a laquer is added to finish it off, don't quote me on that though?
