Altea 07 xl heater/blower not working

My blower stopped blowing a couple of days ago,my dashboard still let me click the buttons up and down but no blowing at all,took my glovebox out and fiddled around with the fan,obviously checked fuses first, managed to get it to work again for at least 20 mins while sat on the drive,went out to it today and no blowing again? And no it doesny have the resiator screwed into the bottom of the fan,any ideas before i send it in to a garage? Cheers

I had this on my Leon there is a plug up behind the dash above the blower box that feeds the power to the blower loom. Pull it apart and reconnect it listen for a click as it shuts. It took me over 1 month to fix mine I’d replaced the control buttons the blower motor and traced all the power back to the fuse box to find that it was joined up there. After that I never had it stop again 2 years later.

Cheers,took the motor out and checked all around it,plygged it back in and it worked fine again,so back in place it went,looked for electrical spray but couldnt find it,so ordered some and will give it a spray and fingwrs crossed no more issues

Hi, thanks for having me here!

I'm trying to fix the cabin heater blower in my 2008 Seat Altea 1.6 petrol and have already replaced the heater motor (which seems to have a built-in resistor) and checked the fuses, but the blower still isn't working. I'm now thinking it might be the relay.

I’ve found the relays near the fuse box under the steering wheel, but I’m unsure which one controls the cabin heater fan, as there are multiple relays and no diagrams available. Also noticed rear wiper and squirters not working...

1. Could you let me know which relay controls the cabin heater fan, or provide a diagram?
2. Also, any advice on turning off the airbag light? I disconnected the passenger airbag while removing the glovebox—oops!
