Hi All
New to the forum so please bear with me.
I have an 07 seat altea xl 1.9 tdi and I am experiencing problems with the engine .
I purchased the car 3 months ago and had no previous service information on it ect.
I did a service on it and had no problems with the car until two weeks ago and it started blowing black smoke from the exhaust. I had the egr valve checked and it was caked with muck so I had it changed along with the mass air flow sensor .
And there was still black smoke coming from the exhaust after this . Glow plugs have been changed and fuel filter again,and the problem is still persisting after all this .
It's had a diagnostic done and nothing has shown up. And both boost pipes have been changed .
I've taken the nox pipe off the egr valve at the moment so I can use the vehicle and it has caused the engine management light to come on. Showing an egr fault and mass air flow fault I am no mechanic so please any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
