Altea Replacement Aerial

Does anyone know the thread size on the Altea aerial.? 5,6 or 7mm.??
I am seeking a replacement (shorter) aerial as the Seat Standard Fit keeps hitting the top the the garage door. Considering a Bullet type or a Beesting, just want to ensure I buy one with the right thread.

Has anyone replaced the standard fit with an aftermarket and maybe got a pic of how it now looks from the back.

Not looked in to it but could you get away with having the aerial lying flat all the time? To do it in my old Leon you'd loosen it a couple of turns, lie it flat and then re-tighten. Don't know whether this would then foul the boot as it came up though.

Worth a thought.

The one from a new honda civic fits. cost about £13 from honda.

This is a short stubby one. Fits into a standard up and over garage and gets reception ok.

Have not got a pic, but there was one on the forum some where.
