I've been searching the forum for a while but can't find anything that relates to this. We just picked up a Seat Altea XL SE and it has a USB/Aux-in port which says will allow you to control an iPod.

Does this also cover the iPhone / iPod Touch? I just hooked up my iPhone 3G to the USB port and it says "No Media" on the panel.

Also, it has phone controls on the steering wheel but how do you use them? Is it Bluetooth? I've read the manual and can't see anything that talks about them! It's all very odd to me. Do I need to get adaptors or something? :help:

I have a 56 plate Alrea FR and the bluetooth setup is in a seperate manual.

See if you have one .

This is a 59 plate, I can't see any bluetooth setup manuals though. The salesman said we could plug an iPod into the USB socket, but it doesn't seem to recognise it...?

Okay, I'm really confused! How do you use the USB port? I've just tried plugging in a USB memory stick with some music tracks on. It still says "No media", the manual is useless and really doesn't explain any of this!

There is a big difference between a usb and an aux port . I think what u have will be an aux port , its like a small pin plug that you get on the end of the wire on a set of headfones . Hope this helps . Regards . Barry

Huh? No, it's a USB port, it looks like a USB port, USB plugs fit inside it. It's called a Combined USB port/Aux-in (CUP). It does have a 3.5mm jack socket as well, if that's what you mean by "small pin plug", but I'm not talking about that.
