Noticed quite a few threads re rear wiper blade replacement, so here's my tale hopefully clearing up confusion.
On my '08 XL the blade is 11", ordering from ebay quoting vehicle details, a 13" aero type blade arrived.
Phoning company and explaining, I was now told they didn't have an 11" one.
Eventually obtaining a Bosch catalogue, the Altea XL was not in it.
Searched Halfords on line and reserved a Bosch blade quoted for the XL.
The packaging stated size was 280mm/12" !!!!! Now, 280mm is 11.024"
Assistant suggested looking at their blade, the packaging of which said 280mm/13" !!!!!
Both blades checked and they were the same size - 11"
Bosch one looked better quality, as expected so took that.
Fitted and working fine.
Moral of the story.
Take old blade out, take into accessory shop, buy same length blade, cost will be the same as ebay + p&p, = £9.50 approx.
And standard 'old' style blade is the one. It removes from arm very easily.
Don't forget to quote XL on here if thats what you're referring to.
