Alternator 115 tdi

Me and the father in law are going to have a go at changing the Alternator on my 115 tomorrow.
I have a general idea of what to do, but would appreciate it if there was any advice/tips etc.

I also need to know if there are any Torqe bolts, if so what size? t50 t60 etc...

From what I can gather, the alternator is held in with a few 17mm bolts?????

hello, just a thought but when i had a look at mine after the gauge in the dash dipped to low volts being produced i found the fault was a poor connection on an earth strap to the gearbox. as soon as i cleaned it up we had max volts again.

Aha! Did you also have "alternator workshop" warnings intermittent?
