Have used Amazon Music Unlimited for several years as a streamed music source through Android Auto - worked fine in the Cupra Ateca and in the current Terramar however I have found in the last few weeks that it had a tendency to just hang when asked to play an album but would work fine when playing tracks that Amazon thought I might like.. I thought it was just me but have discovered that it is known issue across car brands that goes back a couple of years - tried all the usual stuff like clearing App caches. Albums would play if selected on the phone prior to starting the car, but the App hangs if the album is selected in the car.

Got fed up with it, cancelled the subscription and uninstalled the App from the phone. Trying Tidal now - works fine and even imported all my favourites and play-lists from Amazon.

Somebody can jump in here about Spotify is that thrown into the connected subscription or outside requiring another subscription. I have seen Skoda posts that suggest Spotify is free to them. One Cupra poster liked the loss less which they were saying was super on their Cupra speakers.

Spotify lossless on a subscription is that wrapped in the same price as advert free for normal folk or wasnt it really lossless ?. Nvidia home person here and that suffers if it starts playing video on the playlists of Spotify. Common problem across systems on Spotify with people moaning on boards. Not the Amazon issue that it's playing video without enough bandwidth ?.

On the Nvidia Shield it messes up the lossless codec, I reckon but bumpy on video and sound with 900Mbs fibre. My only complaint on a home system with Spotify subscription you have to be careful that playlists or associated Radio stations for the artist doesnt contain videos else it's all downhill with a forced stop and reload of the app and something that hadn't got a video to go with it. As said a common issue with audiophile grinding their teeth and cancelling subscriptions.

PS Amazon music is a poor library compared to Spotify and Tidal. For Spotify lossless least on the TV app you have to associate the TV device with lossless via the mobile app. A little secret why I missed the availability of loss less on Spotify for a couple of months - alerted by the Cupra poster. How you get that on a car's system pass, no mib3 here. You might poke lossless. TV system it then puts a banner, bottom left loss less.
