Ambient light connector

Hey Guys,
New user and I’m in need of some help. I took my door card off to fix the loose cable to my ambient lights and it looks like I’m missing a connector to plug it back in. I’ve searched high and low and can’t find what I need so wondering if anyone knows?

The black plug appears to have the same part number as the lighting unit.

A Google search of the part number looks like this:

Cheers mate! I had a look at the links and this is the same as what I have on the car but there is no way way the plug and the lamp fit together. The plug is too wide and 4 pin whereas the lamp is 3 pin. I’ve attached a image of someone else’s door card and you can see there is something that the red plug is connected to I think. I’m genuinely lost at this point got no idea what I’m looking for ?.

Can you take a picture of the connecting face of the red plug on the loom? There are only three wires going into it.

In addition, if you are referring to the black area circled in the photo, this looks like some electrical tape has been wrapped around the red connection.

Thanks for your help guys ?? I’ve got a picture of the red plug which is attached to the loom and also found another picture from the web which shows better how mine should look. I did have a good look inside the door to see if anything had fallen off but couldn’t find anything.

The link that @black_sheep posted lamp for ambience lighting Leon/Leon 4 (LE) 2016 year Seat EUROPA 947010 (7zap.com) shows 2 lamp units, one at each end of the fibre optic unit, does your car have this? I'm wondering if someone has tampered with it, also keep in mind that pre-facelift and facelift cars are probably different as facelift has options for more colours.

yes mine is a facelift car and has the two lamps and the fibre optic strip. I am also thinking someone has fiddled around and possibly broken it. The other side has the same red connector the only difference if a interface between the lamp and red plug. I’m going to pull it apart again this weekend and get some better pictures and some part numbers. If I can disassemble the working lamp then I will report back with the correct part numbers. Thanks for the help though hopefully get to the bottom of this soon ??
