Well I've ordered myself a couple new components and an amp for my front doors.. Just wondered where you lot have located your amps? There doesn't seem to be much room in the front. I've got the bluetooth under one seat and the other glove box under the other!

Any advice welcome! :)

on the back of the back seats or you could build a false floor like i did with mine.

have either of you got the OEM bluetooth and does it affect it? I'm thinking about taking out the stereo all-together and putting in a pc directly connected to an amp and recabling and replacing the speakers but don't want to lose the bluetooth on the dash.

Could really do with stripping it all out before hand and seeing how it works.

i have oem bluetooth and it is connected through my new pioneer double din stereo and works fine , all my steering controls work and control everything as they should do.

Looks good.. Its just going to be a bit of a pain routing cables all the way to the boot for the amp then all the way back into the front for the components. :(

I've got the bluetooth and an aftermarket headunit. Should be a big thread on here from me about how to get it working. The bluetooth just has two audio wires and an interrupt. Connect the audio wires to a jack and you'll be able to hook it up to the input on the PC. Was tempted to go for a car PC myself but ended up not bothering.. :(

not really mate i took the seats out was easy that way.
only thing you wil struggle with is the rca cables into the radio , took me 2 hours trying to fish them through with a coat hanger

I didnt drill holes where the amp is mounted. I did cut a hole in the acoustic carpet so that the amp is nt sitting directly on it. There is a small air gap created between the amp and backboard. Amp casing is a heat sink so no overheating as yet, have checked on longer trips with volume loud.

Hmmm still, the amp is designed to be installed the other way round and as it is, heat is gathered where the plate is. No dissipation is a bad thing for amps. :(

If it's not overheating all's well, I just like to be extra-cautious on these things. On the other hand, over here we've got much higher temperatures so this would play its part. ;)

Edit: and just now I saw your location. Well, scrap that last paragraph lol.
