Amp + Sub Fitment Guide

Hi, ive been searching for a while and found nothing. Does anyone know or have a link for fitting a AMP & SUB?

I attempted yesterday but couldnt firstly find a way from the battery to the inside of the car. i failed big time.

I'd go straight to the battery personally, will be fitting mine in the next couple of days when a couple of bits arrive. From the quick look i've had, there is a hole already in the firewall below the airfilter if not i'm sure i'll find somewhere.

Could always drill it if you're feeling confident

I will have to have another look but i couldnt see anything 1st time. And i tried to remove the scuttle pannel which wouldnt come out either. Definatly not feeling confident about drilling a hole myself.

I think i've read a few people have gone through pollen filter area not 100% though. Like I say if royal mail hurry up I should be fitting mine in the next couple of days so if you've no luck then i'll have a proper look What size cable are you trying to run? I've got 0AWG going through so will be fun lol

To be honest i really dont know. i had a fusion kit previously but the power cable was way too thick and wouldnt hide very well. Just bought another kit from motorworld for about £10 and its been better to be honest. Recently got this car so i dunno wot im doin with it. Wheres the pollen filter on these thing then?

Right, ive managed to get a old HU in as my standard one is needs a code to get working again, but only the left half of the speakers work and my interior light doesnt work now. Sooooo

1. Any ideas why the interior light doesnt come on?
2. Any ideas why the left "passenger" speakers dont work?
3. How do i get a CD out of my HU without putting a code in?

Any help appriciated.

Haha short & sweet, all fuses are fine, it works off the switch just not when the doors open, and when i connected it up the doors locked/unlocked, can only imagine the HU is linked with the central locking. I swithced the red & yellow connectors over as i read up before doing it. Might try a new loom for the HU, this one looks like a butchers been at it.

Yeah different loom was posted the other day someone got the wrong loom from halfords and got problems.
The light is operated by the door catch itself, the switch is embedded in it.

I know you've got some other problems atm but I installed my amp today, was quite abit of a ballache compared to all the other cars i've done! lol there is a bunch of wires coming through the firewall behind / underneath the plastic cablin housing which runs behind the airbox, pop that cover off and youll see the cables running through the carpetting and through a rubber grommet. If you just pull the carpet down in the passenger footwell, youll feel the OEM cables running through. Can just about get it through there mate, I only used 4AWG cabling though, got stressed so didn't bother trying to get the chunky stuff through but it can be done i'll try remember to get a pic or someone else could pop up a pic of engine bay and i'll point out where I mean or they could?

Thats grand mate i know what you mean, al be having a go when ive got time. Managed to get my HU in properly but the HU re-sets all settings/stations evertime the ignition is turned on and off.

Sorry mate completely forgot about the pic!
The red and yellow cables you need to swap them round, most have a bullet connector in them already, switch the two so red goes to yellow and yellow goes to red and it won't reset

Yeah i did that with me old loom but it was butchered and one of the speakers didnt work, got a new loom and forgot to swap them round after fitting, didnt know what swapping them actually did though. Now i do, thanks
