Hi Guys
We have a company up here in scotland called Angel tuning. They do remaps for the seat. Have any of you heard about them as i think they are a nationwide company.?

IIRC it's a small company, with a couple of guys doing mobile remaps.

So technically they're a 'nationwide' company but only in such that they'll drive to do it.

I'd always recommend somewhere that has a place of business that you can visit

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I used them once in the past on my 206. The first time they tried to do the map, they messed up the remap, and the car wouldn't start. It then took them 3 hours to put the standard map back on as the car still wouldn't start. I then drove round with that map for a short while and something wasn't quite right and I didn't want them to have another go so took it elsewhere. We found that the car was running dangerously lean and was actually running less power than standard.

I considered a mobile tuner but thinking about it you really need it rolling roaded, just loading on a generic map just didn't cut it for me.

i partly agree with that. However custom mapping on the road/track is better with the tuner logging and adjusting as required.

dynos cant emulate the air flow and load that the car experiences on the road.

Well got mine re-mapped by them and it goes like sh*t of a shovel. No problems and certainly worth the £200 I paid rather than the £400 others were wanting. They Said if I had any trouble to get in touch and iv had none. Put 3 of my mates there way and they have been happy with the service they provided and the end result.

i thought my bluefin stage 1 was quick until i tried a revo stage 1. Then i realised it was mega slow

My mate is going for a remap there at the end of this month for his Mk5 Golf GTi - He's to log before and after and if he's uhappy they'll reflash with the original map and give him a full refund. We're quite local so that's fine... can see it being a dif story if you had to travel further.

We were going to get 50% off the second car if we put the two cars in together, but I think I'm going to hold off for a custom map.

Paul's a good friend of mine and has done a lot of remapping for myself and family in the past, spot on. I only ever had one issue and that was with my current leon when running stage 1 and it was due to the dpf. They are a very good company and bang for the buck you can't beat. If anyone fancies a remap from angel tuning if you come to me first i'll be able to get you a good price ;)

This is the problem with franchises like that. Someone's bad work down south while working under that banner doesn't necessarily mean everyone associated with that company is the same.

My manager at work had his Passat done a few years back and didn't have any complaints.

I know Paul to and have had 1 done at Troon and another where he came to me. One car has now done 70000 miles since and my Leon done 18000 miles both with no complaints.

I've got the angel stage 1 on my FR. Tis pretty sweet.
Rolled 205 on star performance's rollers.

Goes like shiznit off a shovel aswell..

Based on my car, I would defo recommend them.
