I've only owned my Leon FR for 3 weeks now and since then it's always had this annoying rattle which sounds like it's coming from the boot area somewhere. You can only hear it when driving along bumpy rounds. Best way to describe it is like a bag nails clunking around in the back. My first thought was the jack and spare wheel, but checked that and it's all nicely seated in the cut out foam stuff so don't think it's that. Anyone got any ideas what it might be?

It could be inside the boot door itself, I have something rattling around in mine that is yet to be investigated. Mine also rattles when closing the boot, occasionally. So maybe its worth a look in there to see if anything's loose!

Exactly mate, mine rattles when shutting the boot as well. Sounds awful as if something has broken inside.

Yeah, you gotta pull the black trim off, apparently its not the easiest thing in the world but it does just pull off, haven't done mine yet as I need to replace my phantom rear wiper so will do it all in one go

Haha Dave maybe you need some new suspension?!
And that's what I'm guessing matty, either that or part of the wiper motor as that's all the metal in there!

My suspension is squeaky as a mofo right now, thinking it's probably perished bushes everywhere. Goes away when it rains though :)

Ahh yeah that sounds like a good cause, so you must be the only guy that actually wants it to rain, for a smooth ride? Lol

Thanks Dan, I might try and have a quick look in my lunch break... will let you know what I find.

I used to get a rattle from where the rear seats clip in. I wrapped a bit of electric tape around the U shaped bar that the seats clip onto and that sorted it.
